Egrifta Medication Information

EgriftaTM (tesamorelin acetate) is approved for the treatment of HIV-associated lipodystrophy, which is actually due to the medications a person takes to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). The medicine comes in injectable form and is administered just under the skin of the stomach area.
 
Although most people have no problems when using this medication, Egrifta is not right for everyone. Make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on your medical history and any other drugs you are taking. If you have a history of cancer, for example, or decreased kidney or liver function, you might not be able to use this product.
