Other Medicines That Can Interact With Intelence

Diazepam
Intelence may increase the level of diazepam in your blood. Your healthcare provider may need to decrease your diazepam dosage.

Other NNRTIs
Intelence is an NNRTI medication. Combining two NNRTIs is not recommended, as it has not been shown to be beneficial.

Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitors (PDE5 Inhibitors)
Intelence could decrease the level of PDE5 inhibitor medications in the blood, perhaps making them less effective. If you notice a difference, your healthcare provider might need to increase the dose of your PDE5 inhibitor.

Protease Inhibitors
Intelence may interact with protease inhibitors. Taking Intelence with a protease inhibitor might increase or decrease the level of the protease inhibitor and/or Intelence in your blood (depending on the particular medication). Your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose of your medications. Some protease inhibitors (or protease inhibitor combinations) should not be taken with Intelence.

Some Statin Medications
Intelence can decrease or increase the level of certain statin medications in your blood (depending on the particular statin). Your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose of your statin medication.

St. John's Wort
Because St. John's wort can significantly reduce the level of Intelence in your blood, it should never be combined with Intelence.

Warfarin
Intelence can increase the level of warfarin in the blood, increasing the risk of bleeding. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely if you are taking warfarin with Intelence.
