Isentress Drug Interactions

Atazanavir, phenobarbital, and phenytoin are among the medications that may cause interactions when taken with Isentress. Drug interactions such as these may alter the amounts of medications in the blood, possible making them less effective. Atazanavir
Atazanavir increases the level of Isentress in your blood. However, this interaction usually does not cause any problems. Nevertheless, check with your healthcare provider before combining these two medications.
 
Phenobarbital
Theoretically, phenobarbital may decrease the level of Isentress in your blood, making it less effective. However, this interaction has not been adequately studied, so it is difficult to predict exactly how these medications affect each other. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
 
Phenytoin
Theoretically, phenytoin may decrease the level of Isentress in your blood, making it less effective. However, this interaction has not been adequately studied, so it is difficult to predict exactly how these medications will interact.
