AIDS Home > Can I Take My Current Medications With Agenerase?

St. John's Wort
Because St. John's wort can greatly reduce the level of Agenerase in your blood, these medications should never be taken together.

Trazodone (Desyrel) or Trazodone ER (Oleptro)
Agenerase can increase the level of trazodone in your blood. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.

Tricyclic Antidepressants
Agenerase can increase the level of tricyclic antidepressants in your blood, possibly increasing the risk of dangerous side effects. Your healthcare provider should monitor the level of your tricyclic antidepressant in your blood and adjust your dose as necessary.

Vitamin E
Agenerase contains a high dose of vitamin E. Therefore, you should not take any additional vitamin E (in supplements or vitamins) while taking Agenerase.

Warfarin
Agenerase can interact with warfarin. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and adjust your warfarin dosage as necessary.

It is possible that not every drug interaction was discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the Agenerase drug interactions that may apply to you.
