If certain medications are combined with Combivir, drug interactions can occur. Depending on the medication, these interactions can decrease the medications' effectiveness or increase your risk of potentially serious side effects. Medications that can cause Combivir drug interactions include interferon medications, fluconazole, methadone, and probenecid. If drug interactions are a concern, your healthcare provider may decide to monitor you more closely.
