Probenecid
Probenecid may increase the level of
Retrovir in your blood, potentially increasing your risk of side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Ribavirin
Combining ribavirin with Retrovir can increase the risk of serious side effects and may make Retrovir less effective. In general, this combination of medications should be avoided, if possible.
Rifampin
Rifampin may decrease the level of Retrovir in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Rifapentine
Rifapentine may decrease the level of Retrovir in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Ritonavir
Ritonavir may decrease the level of Retrovir in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Stavudine
Retrovir may make
stavudine less effective. In general, these two medications should not be used together.
Valganciclovir
Combining valganciclovir with Retrovir may increase your risk of
Retrovir side effects, particularly side effects that affect blood cells. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor your blood counts very closely if you are taking both of these drugs.
Valproic Acid and Divalproex Sodium
Valproic acid and
divalproex sodium can increase the level of Retrovir in your blood, potentially increasing your risk of side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
