Were you looking for information about Selenium? Selinium is a common misspelling of selenium.
Selenium is a type of mineral that the human body needs in order to function properly. However, the body only needs a small amount, and most people are able to get plenty through their normal diets. However, too much or not enough selenium can cause dangerous complications.
If you are thinking of taking selenium supplements, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider beforehand. Let him or her know if you have an underactive thyroid, skin cancer, or any allergies.
It is possible to overdose on this trace mineral. If you have taken too much selenium, seek immediate medical attention.
