Sustiva Side Effects to Report

Some side effects with Sustiva, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
Sustiva and Allergic Reactions
Sustiva can cause serious, sometimes life-threatening, allergic reactions -- particularly dangerous skin rashes. While harmless skin rashes are quite common with Sustiva, any rash that involves blisters, loss of skin, fever, or sores in the mouth should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately. These rashes can become quite dangerous, causing severe infections or loss of significant portions of the skin.
 

Final Thoughts on Sustiva Side Effects

You may experience some or none of the Sustiva side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell whether any particular side effect (such as nausea) is actually caused by Sustiva or other factors. Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking the drug or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be a side effect of Sustiva, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
