What If I Overdose on Viramune?

People who take too much Viramune may experience the following symptoms:
 
  • Swelling or water retention
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Nausea
  • Rash
  • A spinning sensations (vertigo)
  • Vomiting
  • Weight loss.
     
If you happen to overdose on Viramune, seek medical attention immediately.

Viramune: Storage Methods

Viramune should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep Viramune tablets and oral suspension in an airtight container.
 
Keep Viramune and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Viramune?

It is very important that you do not miss Viramune doses. If you do not take your Viramune as scheduled, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you are having trouble remembering to take your HIV medications.
 

Viramune Strengths

Viramune comes in the following strengths and forms:
 
  • Viramune 200 mg tablets
  • Viramune oral suspension (50 mg per 5 mL or per teaspoonful).
     

Is There a Generic Version of Viramune?

Currently, there are no generic versions of Viramune licensed for sale (see Generic Viramune).
