Drug Interactions With Viread

Viread can interact with a number of other medications (see Viread Drug Interactions).
 

Viread: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Viread if you have:
 
  • Kidney disease, including kidney failure (renal failure)
  • Liver disease, such as liver failure or cirrhosis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Osteoporosis or other bone problems
  • Anemia, neutropenia, or any other low blood count or blood disorder
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.
     
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
 
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

What If I Take an Overdose of Viread?

It is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose of Viread. If you happen to take too much, seek immediate medical attention.
